MS Arctic Dawn is the second of four multi-purpose heavy lift vessels commissioned from the yard Shipkits by Urk shipowner Daniel Hartman. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology was responsible for the installation of the electrical systems onboard Atlantic Dawn. These systems recently underwent extensive testing in heavy weather conditions.
MS Arctic Dawn has a deadweight of 4,200 tons and is equipped with two 150-ton cranes. The vessel is 111.60 metres long, has a beam of 16.80 metres, and can reach a top speed of around 17 knots – exceptionally fast for this type of ship.
