Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology started work on a refit of the 2002 sailing yacht Windrose of Amsterdam earlier this year. The yacht is located in Porto Adriano on Mallorca and the refit will be carried out by the local branch of Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology in Palma.
Workers from Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology are currently busy updating various systems on board the 46-metre sailing yacht. This includes the throttle and pitch control, the alarm system, earth fault detection and navigation & communication equipment.
Replacement of all interior lighting is also on the agenda. The main engine and generator will be fitted with new sensors and digital readout features that can be linked through to other devices via a bus signal for visualisation.
The refit is scheduled to be finished by the beginning of the summer season, allowing the owner to fully enjoy his new Windrose of Amsterdam on the Mediterranean Sea.
