August 27th, 2018:Piet Brouwer Power Solutions recently received a new order from Belgian malt producer Boortmalt, which is supplementing its current locations in Europe with a new facility in Debre Birhan, Ethiopia. We are designing, delivering and installing the entire electrical system for this new site. As well as our previous experience in Ethiopia, Boortmalt chose to work with Piet Brouwer after being impressed by the alternative design and proactive attitude.

We will be realising the entire energy distribution from the 33kV connection of the grid company. In addition, Piet Brouwer Power Solutions will install a fully automated 4-Megawatt emergency power supply. The entire system can be monitored via internet by our service department in Urk, allowing us to properly advise the client on use and maintenance.
All system elements will be built into standard shipping containers with interiors that have been customised to fulfil the needs and wishes of the client. This includes the necessary cooling, insulation and lighting, plus specific adjustments that take account of the extreme meteorological conditions on site. With engineering already underway together with the client, the new malting plant is expected to be operational by mid-2019.
