The new ‘Cervezeria Cubana’ factory in Cuba will be making Parranda, a new kind of beer that will be available exclusively on the Cuban market. Piet Brouwer Power Solutions was asked to install the distribution and emergency power systems for the plant. In addition to medium and low voltage systems, we also supplied two back-up generators as the island often has power outages.
The Power Solutions team delivered and installed two Mitsubishi 22—kVA back-up generators, two 2000VA distribution transformers and switch panels. The factory was also equipped with a complete control and monitoring system.Shortages in fuel, extreme weather conditions, the embargo – it’s fair to say the installation team faced a variety of challenges. They still managed to stay ahead of schedule, displaying a high level of craftsmanship and seamless collaboration with the other (sub)contractors.
