December 9, 2020: After activating the main switchboard on Nautilus, Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology has completed a series of four installations for the Royal Netherlands Navy via partner Damen Shipyards Den Helder. The design, engineering and construction of these panels for four dive support vessels has been carried out at Piet Brouwer’s main facilities in Urk, after which they were installed and activated in close cooperation with the Piet Brouwer facilities in Den Helder.
In addition to supplying these main switchboards to the Royal Netherlands Navy, Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology is also involved in the maintenance of the other dive support vessels in the Dutch Navy fleet and various vessels owned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The latter recently gave a major four-yearly survey to three vessels, with Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology being responsible for the inspections and necessary repairs.
