The Hiswa Holland Yachting Group regularly organizes incoming missions from abroad to promote the products and/or services of its members and stimulate trade with other countries. Within this framework it hosted the Holland Yachting Group Press Tour this week.
On Monday 2 June journalists visited Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology on the first day of the four-day Hiswa Holland Yachting Group Press Tour. The day started with a visit to Makkum followed by an afternoon trip to Urk, where the emphasis was on the rich maritime history of the island in the former Zuider Zee.
Henk Brouwer welcomed the group and spoke of the fact that pride and maximum effort were the basic characteristics for delivering top quality and service – and therefore the basis for his company’s success. Henk illustrated the point with some recent work on the motoryacht Nassima. A week ago, the captain had called Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology about a problem with the yacht’s lighting. A field engineer was immediately flown to Nassima to fix the issue on site.
A few days after the problem was resolved David Baker, chief engineer on board Nassima, sent a message to the management of Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology, giving “special thanks to Frans, the engineer, for his professionalism and hard work.”
The day was concluded with an informal gathering at the Urker Botterwerf, where the journalists were presented with a delicious meal of smoked fish fresh from the fish auction in Urk.
