Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology delivered the AC system for the 36-metre Oyster 118 sailyacht. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology is responsible for the engineering of the AC main switchboard, including synchronisation and power management, and the construction of the custom built panel for the Oyster 118, the largest sailyacht built by Oyster Yachts from Southampton (UK) to date. The company was commissioned to perform these tasks as this is the yard’s first yacht to feature 400V generators and a shore convertor. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology has a wealth of experience in the installation of electrical systems on 100ft+ high-performance yachts, and extensive knowledge of lightweight cabling, DEIF control systems and compressed switchboards with an intelligent and comprehensive power management system for relatively large loads.
