MY Dardanella

Dardanella is an 36.9-metre (121 ft) exploration-type yacht designed by Vripack Naval Architects, loosely based upon traditional deep-sea, well-deck trawlers. The build and design challenge was to find the perfect balance between a yacht and a commercial vessel. The Owner wanted a yacht with functional elegance designed to voyage safely when exploring remote parts of the world without attracting the attention drawn by more conventional superyachts. Dardanella has a wide variety of outside spaces, used for relaxing, dining and – on the vast fore deck – storing the pair of tenders.

The comfortable and luxurious interior, a warm blend of teak highlighted with furnishing fabrics, accommodates the owners plus eight guests and six crew. At the same time it reflects the outside appearance of the vessel, with an understated ‘masculine’ ambience. It could be argued that Dardanella epitomises the near perfect compromise between a commercial ship and a yacht.
