Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology provided the entire electrical distribution for a new Aseptic PET bottling line for Refresco, Europe’s largest producer of soft drinks and juices.
A 1,600 kVA step down transformer was fitted, bringing the 10.5 kV medium voltage down to 400 V. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology advised Refresco to purchase this transformer instead of resorting to the usual solution of renting one, as the former would be economically more advantageous.
In addition, Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology supplied and installed a form 4A low voltage switchboard, including cable ducts and cables – naturally in compliance with the requirements that apply within the food and beverage industry. The low-voltage distributor will send power on to the various parts of the packaging line.
The management of Refresco has indicated that they are very pleased with the speed and flexibility with which Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology has carried out this project, allowing their new packaging line at the location in Bodegraven to come online in good time.
