October 17, 2019: Following the launch of the eco bulk carriers Arklow Wave, Arklow Wind and Arklow Willow from shipyard Ferus Smit in Leer (Germany) in February, Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology recently started on the installation on board the fourth vessel in the series, the Arklow Wood.
We are also responsible for the complete engineering package, switchboards, bridge consoles, shaft generators, thrusters, alarm systems and fire detection systems. Piet Brouwer Electrotechnology is also realising the entire installation and commissioning. With a length of 149.5 metres and a beam of 19.4 metres, the 16,500 dwt vessels are built in a series of four.
